Know Us> Our Core Values
The Lordship of Christ
We acknowledge Christ as the head of our church and will submit ourselves
and all our activities to His will and good pleasure.
Mt. 28:18; Acts 2:36; Rom. 10:9; Eph. 1:22-23; Phil. 2:11; 1 Pet. 3:15
Like Jesus, we will aspire to serve, rather than be served, by watching for and
responding to the needs of fellow-believers and those in our community.
Mt. 20:26-28; Mt. 25:34-40; Jn. 13:12-14; Eph. 2:10; James 2:14-17; 1 Pet. 4:10
We will seek understanding of and power to do God’s will by
strengthening our praying, both individually and as a church.
Ps. 5:3; Jer. 33:3; Mk. 1:35; Lk. 18:1; Acts 2:42; Phil. 4:6-7; James 5:16
We will pray, prepare for, and glory in worship that stirs our thankfulness,
renews our hope, warns our waywardness, and calls us to fields of service.
1 Chron. 16:29; Ps. 84:10; Ps. 95:1-6; Rom. 12:1; Col. 3:16; Rev. 5:6-14
Anointed Teaching and Preaching
We will seek teachers and preachers who give evidence of being called by God
and who are diligent to show themselves approved unto God.
Acts 2:42; 1 Cor. 1:17; 1 Tim. 4:13; 2 Tim. 2:15; Tit. 2:1-8; James 3:1
Demonstrating Integrity and Trustworthiness
We will value honesty, authenticity (genuineness), and trustworthiness
in our relationships both inside and outside the church.
Ex. 20:16; Ps. 25:21; Prov. 10:9; Prov. 11:3; Mt. 5:37; Phil. 4:8; Tit. 2:7
We will take the church’s ministries of teaching, preaching, and caring to our
community and wherever in our country, or beyond, our Lord calls us.
Mt. 10:7-8; Mt. 28:19-20; Jn. 20:21; Acts 1:8; Rom. 10:13-15; 1 Thess. 2:8
Through Sunday School and other ministries, we will equip believers with sound doctrine, awareness of spiritual gifts, and skills in sharing and defending our faith.
Mt. 28:19; Jn. 8:31-32; Jn. 15:8; Acts 14:21-22; Eph. 4:11-13; 2 Pet. 3:18
